UNIVERSITY
The Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KLEF) came into existence from the Koneru Lakshmaiah Charities in 1980–81, when it started as KL College of Engineering. Following this, the institution has undergone several changes and achieved numerous accolades that led the institution to be recognised as an autonomous body in 2006. It was in 2009 that KLEF was declared a ‘Deemed to be University’ by the UGC, MHRD Govt. of India.
The Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation emerged as a leading institution after gaining ‘Deemed to be University’ recognition. It was first accredited by NAAC A grade in 2012 and then got updated to NAAC A++ in 2018. It is KLEF’s dedication and commitment to quality education that made the institution designated a Category I institution by the MHRD and UGC in 2019.
KLEF carries accreditations from UGC, AICTE, and holds a NAAC A++ rank along with being ranked in the 28th spot by NIRF. This makes the university widely recognised both in academic and professional domains.
